'Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette' (Picture Heavy!)

I am seriously backed up on posts at the moment, but this simply could not wait! I just received the Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette and let me tell you, it's love! =)

So let's get on with it!!

Keep reading for more photos & swatches...

The moment I heard this palette was coming out I knew I had to have it! I'm not a collector of Urban Decay palettes, so for me to buy it says a lot. My only other Urban Decay palette is the NAKED palette, which I will be doing comparisons of in another post!

Okay, on to swatches! I did them going across the palette from top to bottom... fyi :)
left to right: Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette "Midnight Rodeo", "Tainted", "Deeper"
Midnight Rodeo... This is a beautiful taupe/brown infused with gold glitter
Tainted... A pink/lavender with a golden sheen, and super pigmented! It reminds me of a NARS eye shadow I have... comparisons to come!
Deeper... This is a dark brown/bronze with a sort of golden sheen.

left to right: Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette "Midnight 15", "Junkshow", "M.I.A."
Midnight 15... This is a beautiful champagne, frosty color. Perfect for the inner corner!
Junkshow... I looove this color! So of course it's hard to capture in a photograph :) haha This is a fuschia/purple with an amazing blue sheen. Super dimensional and pigmented!
M.I.A.... This is a deep brown with a subtle sheen. It's red-based and almost coppery.

left to right: Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette "Vanilla", "Omen", "ACE"
Vanilla... I have been looking for a gold-y highlight color, and this is it! It's a yellow-based, white gold. Amazing!
Omen... This color has such dimension! It's a purple with a blue-base, and is infused with pink! So pretty =)
ACE... This is almost like a gun-metal color but a bit lighter and with a bit more blue. It also has a nice, not over-powering, sheen.

left to right: Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette "Flow", "Evidence", "Blackout"
Flow... This is a peachy color with a frosty, high sheen finish.
Evidence... This is a deep dark blue. As you can see in the photo above it has a beautiful lighter blue sheen, but from some angles can almost look dark gray. I love it! It's one of those shadows that you can wear all by itself, packed on and sheered out, and will look like you are wearing 2 different shadows!
Blackout... Your typical matte black. Nicely pigmented and a very smooth texture.

left to right: Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette "Chase", "Deep End", "Half Truth"
Chase... This is a gold/bronze with a nice sheen. It looks a bit warmer in person than it does on this swatch!
Deep End... A teal blue/green, again with a nice sheen. It goes amazingly with Chase and Half Truth for a sort of mermaid/peacock look!
Half Truth... This is a slightly darkened purple with a fairly neutral base. Depending on what you pair it with it can look like it's either blue-based or slightly red-based. A great versatile purple!

left to right, top to bottom: Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette "Vanilla", "Omen", "ACE"
second row: "Flow", "Evidence", "Blackout"
third row: "Chase", "Deep End", "Half Truth"

I will say some of the neutrals are similar to a few in the NAKED Palette, but the colors in this palette are just gorgeous!! This has definitely re-inspired me to do some fun makeup looks =) I highly recommend it!

Have you checked out this palette?!

  1. Vanilla and ACE look amazing! I wish I was bold enough to wear most of those colors, I'm definitely more of a neutral-lover. I can't wait to see some of the wilder looks though! :)

  3. The colors look amazing! Are they as shimmery as Naked Palette colors or more matte ? Recently I am more into matte eyeshadows but this is so tempting...

    Let me know,

  4. Kristel, aren't they amazing?!

Anna, I like neutral looks too but lately I've been getting bored with my eye looks.. These colors will be great to mix in! I'll have to do some EOTDs with this palette =)

Nora, so many of these are unique and I don't have dupes. However the neutrals are a bit more dupable..but it's always nice to have a good mix of shadows in the same palette!

Ewelina, the only matte in this palette is the black. Some of the shadows have a rather subtle sheen, which is a nice change to the crazy shimmery glittery colors. However, I do see myself using this palette in conjunction with some matte shadows I already own.

I can't wait to use this palette!!
