'NEW! Edward Bess & LORAC'...

In case you have been hiding under a rock and haven't heard, Sephora is now selling Edward Bess. I hadn't heard much about the brand until a few weeks ago when I did some research on the brand. Needless to say I was intrigued by this new brand and had to try something!

And so, my very small Sephora order...

Edward Bess Illuminator, LORAC blush, Laura Mercier foundation primer
Read on for swatches and my mini review!

Edward Bess All Over Seduction Illuminator in "Sunlight"
Edward Bess All Over Seduction Illuminator in "Sunlight" ($38)... This is definitely a beautiful, natural looking champagne highlight. Is it worth the price? The formulation is very slippery and sheer... meaning I'll probably use this for a long time before making a noticeable dent! However, that being said, it is $38 for only 0.05 oz of product (Sephora.com says 0.08 oz, but it's actually 0.05 oz). Pretty crazy if you ask me!!

LORAC Baked Matte Satin Blush in "Hollywood" ($24)... I purchased this blush on recommendation from Lisa (of LisaLisaD1 on youtube). If you can't tell, it's sort of another summer-time product, but I just can't wait for summer to get here again!!! I'm usually not a huge fan of mineralized or baked products, but after hearing Lisa talk about it on her channel I just had to get it!

It was tough to get a good photo of this swatched, but I tried below...

I also managed to get a deluxe sample of the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer... I'll let you know how I like it!

So have you tried any Edward Bess products?? I want to try out his concealer, heard it was a good one!

Bethany

  3. you mention that it's slippery, does it every dry down? i don't want it to move afterwards, and i'm used to powder highlighters. Thanks!
