For some reason I had NO CLUE this MAC collection was coming out... am I the only one who was in the dark on this one?! Anyway, I thought I'd share the Styleseeker promo pics with you guys!
MAC Styleseeker Collection
I actually quite like the little duos that MAC comes out with. There are usually a couple with permanent shades, and a couple with limited edition shades. I'm thinking of getting the duo below...
MAC Marche aux Puces Eye Shadow x2... This duo comes with Chessa, a midtone golden orange (veluxe pearl) and Indie Spirit, a chestnut brown (matte). This would be a great duo for fall! I'm debating whether to wait for Temptalia's review, or just go for it and purchase... ?!
MAC Eye Shadow in Chessa
MAC Eye Shadow in Indie Spirit
Are there any products in this collection that you are thinking of getting?? What other of MAC's million collections are you looking forward to?
As soon as I found out that MAC was releasing Candy Yum-Yum again with their By Request Collection, I knew I had to place an order and grab a backup =) Of course I HAD to pick up a few more things.. to make the shipping worth it ;)
So, I've been doing a little... summer?... cleaning and finally went through my makeup. There are so many great products that I just don't use, and it's a shame! I'll be having a blog sale in a few days and just wanted to give you all a little preview!
Blog sale
Blog sale, CHANEL Poudre Universelle Libre
It will be U.S. and Paypal only. (sorry!) You can also expect some extra goodies along with any purchase =)
On to the next favorite post, lippies!! I picked out my current favorites and most used... and they are all pinks :) Don't judge me! haha
Laura Mercier Creme Lipstick in "Evening Pink", Lancome Lipstick in "Rose Candy", YSL Glossy Stain in #15 "Rose Vinyl", MAC Amplified Lipstick in "Chatterbox", Dior Addict Lipstick in 465 "Singuliere", CHANEL Glossimer in #161 "Bagatelle"
Lately I haven't been blogging much... I've just gotten a bit bored of it all. So to mix things up a bit I have decided to do some "Current Favorite" posts on different categories of cosmetics. I purchase quite a bit of makeup and hardly ever talk about them after I've shown them in my hauls, so now these posts will be a chance for me to show you guys what I have really been liking from my purchases! Hope you enjoy =)
So I have been trying out quite a few new foundations the past few months in preparation for my upcoming wedding, and I thought I'd share a quick overview on my thoughts of them, as well as swatches! I've selected 4 that are my current favorites at the moment...
left to right:Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation, YSL Teint Resist Foundation, MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation, VICHY Dermablend Corrective Foundation.
MY SKIN: My skin is normal/combination, leaning towards the dry side lately. I have pigmentation problems, as well as the occasional breakout. Usually I like full coverage foundations, but when my skin is "good" I will use medium coverage buildable foundations.
This little haul is LONG over-due! Having a MACPro card means I can get products a week or so before they actually launch, so I have had these a couple weeks.. oops! =)
MAC Haul
God knows a few of these products have been done to death, so I'll just show my swatches and not bore you with tons of pics of the products themselves...
left to right:MAC MSF in "Superb" and "Whisper of Gilt", Viva Glam lipstick in "Nicki"
left to right:MAC MSF in "Superb"blended out and "Whisper of Gilt", Viva Glam lipstick in "Nicki"
The two MSFs are showing up very true to life, but the Nicki lipstick isn't showing quite as bright as it is in person. Needless to say I LOVE the MSFs, and I'm sure Nicki is going to be a summer staple for me :)
Okay, next up I purchased MAC Chromographic pencil in Pure White and an eye shadow in Brown Script.
MAC eye shadow in "Brown Script" and MAC Chromographic pencil in "Pure White"
left to right:MAC Chromographic pencil in "NC15/NW20" and "Pure White", ES in "Brown Script" and "Espresso"
MAC Chromographic pencil in "Pure White"... I normally use my NC15/NW20 pencil for my bottom waterline to cancel out the red, and I really do like it. It's not too stark but really opens up my eyes. However, I didn't have any sort of white eye liner! I've worn Pure White on my waterline already and like it, it's just a different look. I also really needed this to define my winged liner!! I love applying it subtly underneath my wing to make it more of a statement.
MAC eye shadow in "Brown Script"... I'm in love with reddish browns, in case you didn't know =) But most of the ones I own are darker, so I purchased Brown Script for a softer look with the same tones. I pictured it above next to Espresso just to give you an idea of the amount of warmth in the shade!
The MSFs are sold out on the MAC website, but you can still purchase Whisper of Guilt from Nordstrom's here!
So did you get the MSFs? What do you think of them??
I don't know about you, but if I can't see my makeup, I don'tuseit. This especially applies to my NARS eye shadows. A while back I de-potted them and put them in an empty MAC palette I had.... That didn't work. I STILL couldn't see the shadows and always forgot about them!!! So I finally paid the $20 and bought a Z Palette =) BEST. PURCHASE. EVER.
After it came in the mail I immediately bought 2 more. Check it!
Initially I was thinking of purchasing 3 products from MAC's Make Me Over Collection, but only ended up with one aaaaand a bunch of other products from their permanent line.
So I was really looking forward to MAC's Semi Precious Collection, and guess what.... I didn't end up getting ANYTHING from it! I know, crazy right?? I was very tempted to pick up an MSF or 2 but I was able to hold myself back. Talk about willpower ;) Anyway, MAC has a huge collection coming out August 25th (in the US) and some things have caught my eye!
All photos are from Temptalia.com. If you want to check out more pictures of the upcoming collections, click her link!
Here are a few things that I'm eyeing!
MAC Fluidline in "Avenue"
MAC Fluidline in "Avenue"... Charcoal black with gold pearlized pigments (Limited Edition). Does it not look amazing?!
Some promotional photos have sparked my interest, yet again, for the upcoming "Semi-Precious" collection from MAC. It is set to launch July 7th! (in the U.S.)
First off, let's check out the goooorgeous promo looks!!
I have been meaning to get this post up for a couple weeks now... I could use the excuse of being super busy, or that I was out of town for almost a week (because I was both) but let's be honest, I just haven't felt like it =) However, I am back from my short holiday and ready to dive back into our wonderful blog world!

Mischievous Mint from MAC's Quite Cute Collection...
MAC Mischievous Mint Cream Nail Lacquer
I love light pastel nail colors on other people, just not me! This is about the lightest I have gone so far! I haven't kept up my tan, but I think with some St. Tropez tonight I will be able to pull off the color better =) Quite frankly I think it looks pretty bad on me in this picture.... in person there is more green in the polish too.
Well I'm off to exfoliate!!
Has anyone else tried this color?? What do you think of it?
Finally, as promised, part 2 of my recent MAC haul!! Until I attended the MAC Master Class in Chicago I had no idea these next products were even available!
MAC Studio Finish Skin Corrector
MAC Studio Finish Skin Correctors ($12 each)... These are full coverage color correcting concealers!! Don't ask me how I didn't know MAC had these, it is beyond me. As far as I know these correctors are only available in pan form, and only at MAC Pro stores.
The colors I purchased are:
Blonde Ash - A very pale cool white with a green undertone that is great for correcting redness on even the palest skin. Pure Orange - A vibrant orange used to correct dark circles under the eyes and etc on medium to darker skin tones. (Wayne of GossMakeupArtist on youtube talked about this product in a video or two) DeepBrown - A black brown designed for the darkest skin tone. Ochre - A mustard yellow that adds warmth for darker skin tones.
Now, I purchased colors for a wide range of skin tones because I never know who I am going to be working on. If you are not a makeup artist you certainly don't need all of these! But being a professional you need to be prepared for everything and everyone and these are the colors I would recommend =)
Here are Pure Orange and Ochre blended out. The littlest bit goes a LONG way, they are super pigmented!
So far I am loving these correcting concealers. If you are interested in trying them it's definitely worth visiting or calling your nearest MAC Pro store to find out more about them!!
Do you use color correctors? What are your favorites??
Over the weekend I took a trip to the Windy City (aka Chicago) to meet up with some friends from back home and attend another MAC Master Class =) So you know I came home with some goodies!
First a few words about the class I took... MAC Senior Artist Fatima Thomas spoke at the class and let me tell you, she was amazing! The class focused on makeup trends/techniques/products from past eras, and how they are being reinterpreted today. I could go on and on about it! Anyway, it was great and I'm so happy I was able to attend!
On to the haul...
MAC Eye Kohls in "Powersurge" and "Smolder"... I am sure you all already know about what an amazing product Smolder is, so I won't bore you with that! But, Powersurge is just GORGEOUS! It is a lovely bronze/brown with gold shimmer. Being an eye kohl, it's super creamy and great to smudge and smoke out. I'm really loving it and haven't used my gel liner since I picked this up!
left to right: MACs "Woodwinked", "Mulch", "Mystery", "Espresso"
MAC Eye Shadow in "Mulch"...I have pictured these eye shadows above with Woodwinked and Espresso just to give you a better idea of their shades. I have no idea how I don't already own Mulch! It's raved about by tons of beauty bloggers and youtubers. Mulch is a beautiful red-brown with a subtle bronze shimmer. It pairs amazingly well with MUFE Aqua Cream #14! I have been going nuts over these red-based browns!
MAC Eye Shadow in "Mystery"... MAC describes this shadow as a "Muted plum-brown". I don't know about the whole plum thing, but this shade does not disappoint! On the eye it looks halfway between a dark brown and a soft black. It is amazing for a deep smokey eye that isn't quite as harsh as using a black shadow. I need to pick up another for my makeup kit!
left to right: MACs "Woodwinked", "Mulch", "Mystery", "Espresso"
above: MAC blush in "Trace Gold"
MAC blush in "Trace Gold"... I reeeeally like this blush. It's a very shimmery gold color with a hint of a pink base. You really can't tell this from the picture, but in some lighting you can definitely tell it's not just straight gold. In part 2 of this haul I'll try and show a better swatch next to another blush I have that is similar! =) MORE TO COME....
So I was reading a MAC Tag on a blog and thought it seemed like fun to do.. Only when I started answering questions I realized I wanted to delete half of them and add others, soooo I just made my own MAC Tag!! Hope you like it =)

May 5th MAC is coming out with 3 different collections. Yes I said it, 3!!! They are: Fashion Flower, Magically Cool LiquidPowder, and Flighty.
Photo from Temptalia.com
I have seen a few collection photos and reviews of the Fashion Flower collection. The shades aren't really my cup of tea. The only thing I can see myself possibly purchasing would be the Lipgelee, but I really don't need it!

The Magically Cool Liquid Powder originally came out with the Venomous Villains collection, and I didn't hear great things about it, and I'm not all that interested in it.

The product I am most excited about are the Big Bounce shadows in the Flighty collection! These are mousse cream shadows that are supposed to have a pearly finish. The fluffy eye shadows will be added to MAC's permanent linen (I am now hearing that isn't going to happen). As of now I have no idea what the claims are for these mousse shadows... Will they be water-proof? Long-wearing?? I can't wait to find out!
With every new MAC collection there is a new pink lippie. And of course I had to get it, and a few other things! Check it out...
MAC Lip Pencil in "In Synch"... This is a nice pink liner with a yellow base. I tried and tried getting a decent picture of this pencil swatched but I just could not get the color to show up correctly! If you wear lots of lighter pink lippies then you could get a lot of use out of this lip pencil.
Lip Mix in "Crimson"... MAC Lip Mixes are similar to the OCC Lip Tars, they are VERY pigmented and a little goes a long way! The staying power is great on these. I do really love this product and totally recommend it if you like the Lip Tars.
left: MAC "Impassioned", right: MAC "Candy Yum Yum"
MAC Lipstick in "Impassioned"... I have been wanting this lippie for the longest time! My MAC store never had it in stock, so I finally ordered it online =) "Impassioned" is an Amplified Creme, one of my favorite formulations! It is described as an amped-up fuschia but next to "Candy Yum Yum" you can definitely see that there is a bit of a coral/yellow undertone to it. SUCH a pretty summer color!
"Candy Yum Yum"... This matte neon pink lipstick came out with the Quite Cute collection that MAC just launched. Although it has a matte formulation, it feels surprisingly creamy on the lips. I'm planning on doing a LOTD with this lippie paired with something else to make it a bit more wearable for those of you who aren't into seriously neon lips.
I know you have all probably seen a million swatches of this already (along with Impassioned) but here is another!

I thought my obsession with lipstick would just be a phase... but now I'm starting to think it's here to stay... and I love it =)
