Keep reading for pictures, swatches, and my thoughts!!
First up, Dior...
Dior All-In-One Artistry Palette in 708 "Amber Design" |
Dior All-In-One Artistry Palette in 708 "Amber Design" ($59)... This is my first Dior e/s palette. No joke!! I must say that I LOVE how Dior packages and presents their products. If you ever need a pick-me-up, go buy something Dior ;)
In this palette there are 4 shadows and a liner, great to chuck in your bag and call it good! When I initially rubbed my fingers on the shadows I thought they were going to be amazing. They felt creamy and on my finger tips looked nicely pigmented. However, once you swatch the shadow on your hand (or eye) the color pay-off leaves something to be desired. I had to swatch a few times in each shadow to get the swatches below...
The colors are gorgeous, and the palette is definitely versatile. But is this how all Dior shadows are?? Did I just pick a sub-par palette? Please let me know!!
And NARS...

On to my impulse purchase!
Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara - Gold Sparkles |
Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara - Gold Sparkles |
I have yet to try it on it's own, but I'm thinking it might stand out well when worn with a dark smokey eye or compliment a barely-there makeup look by adding some sparkle! Thoughts??
I didn't take a close-up of my last purchase, but it's...
Urban Decay "all nighter" Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ($29)... This is a re-purchase, and something I never want to live without! UD all nighter spray makes my makeup last all day long. I use it every single day that I work and it lasts from morning 'til night.
Disclaimer: This product does contain sulfates, and some bloggers and YouTubers have had negative things to say about this product because of that, but I can't help that it's been a miracle worker for the longevity of my makeup!
I can't believe it has been so long since my last blog! I will definitely have to do a "Favorite New Products" post to show you the best of what I have acquired on my hiatus. =)

ReplyDeleteGreat items! UD All Nighter is my holy grail make up product! It is amazing! The Dior shadow is lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat haul!! I have a Dior palette and I have to agree that while the packaging is pretty...the shadows just don't do it for me, especially for the price! I LOVE that Nars palette and it's on my wishlist. It was either Nars blush palette or Naked 2...I chose Naked LOL!
ReplyDeleteNice picks, Bethany! That's too bad about the Dior palette though.. I hope they're not all that way. I think this post was my breaking point for resisting that NARS palette.. I just got a $20 gift card from Sephora in the mail last night so I might have to splurge a little and use it on that!
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back posting! Looks like some good stuff. I want the UD Spray so bad...I just need to buy it!
ReplyDeleteAll things look great, especially the Dior palette!
