Let me start out by saying, can you believe it's almost May already?!?! Ok, now on to the post =)
It has been a while since my last makeup wishlist... so I figured it's about time for another!
Giorgio Armani 'Eyes to Kill' Eyeshadow in 02 "Lust Red"
Swatch from Temptalia.com
Giorgio Armani 'Eyes to Kill' High Voltage 24-Hour Eyeshadow in 02 "Lust Red"... I don't think this one even needs explaining. It's freaking gorgeous. =)
Estee Lauder "Crystal Pink"
Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in "Crystal Pink"... This is such a pretty pink lippie! I've been wanting to dabble in EL lipsticks and I think this will be my first! If you have never tried Estee Lauder lipsticks, like me, Sam and Nic (pixiwoo on youtube) have a great video that goes over all the different formulas and some of their favorites. Check it out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yns9-JZThs
iT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores HD Powder
iT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores HD Silk Micro-Powder... I heard about this product from Gina (ginabinawina99 on youtube) in a review she did. Check out the video, I guarantee you will be as sold as I am! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVyjelQwiaY
Illamasqua Powder Blusher "Lover"
Illamasqua Powder Blusher in "Lover"... More of my Illamasqua obsession, of course! "Lover" is a gorgeous vibrant apricot color. I don't have any peach/apricot blushes in my collection yet so this one is a necessity!! Right?!.... Come on back me up here ;)
So what is on your makeup wishlist? Have you tried any of these products?? Comment below!
It is my day off work today, and I'm feeling rather lazy. But I thought I'd throw up an easy post and show you one of my new favorite nail varnishes! =)
I have been searching for a sort of mint green/blue and a lighter purple color since last summer. However, I need a polish that has enough vibrancy to it that it doesn't wash me out. Pastel color polishes look amazing on other people, just not me! I found this mid-tone intense purple aaaand I freakin' love it!!
Illamasqua "Jo'mina"
For some unfortunate reason this color is looking totally different in pictures than in real life. :( FAIL! The shade is a much warmer, red-toned bright purple. How annoying, right?!
A little bit better...
The picture from Sephora.com
I'd say the last picture, from Sephora.com, is pretty darn accurate.. and against my NOTD photo, totally different!! This is definitely a FAIL NOTD, but I just love it in person!
For a while now I have been trying to figure out how to better store my nail polishes. The whole shoe box thing just wasn't cutting it!! A while back I searched for wall-mounted nail polish racks, but couldn't find anything reasonably priced so I gave up on that idea.. Then seeing someone else's collection, I was re-inspired to find a nail polish rack! I'm SO HAPPY I found this.....
YAY!!
I hung this up in my closet over a bookcase where I store shoes. It's so gorgeous and I get to walk past it every time I go into my bathroom. My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy =) I think that just makes me love it more!!
This nailpolish rack was $32.70, then with $12 for shipping it came out to a total of $44.70. Not too bad in my opinion.
Update: I am officially 1 week into my 2 month nailpolish BAN. I caught myself almost slipping up the other day though, this may be harder than originally expected!!
So I was reading a MAC Tag on a blog and thought it seemed like fun to do.. Only when I started answering questions I realized I wanted to delete half of them and add others, soooo I just made my own MAC Tag!! Hope you like it =)

May 5th MAC is coming out with 3 different collections. Yes I said it, 3!!! They are: Fashion Flower, Magically Cool LiquidPowder, and Flighty.
Photo from Temptalia.com
I have seen a few collection photos and reviews of the Fashion Flower collection. The shades aren't really my cup of tea. The only thing I can see myself possibly purchasing would be the Lipgelee, but I really don't need it!
Photo from MakeupandBeautyBlog.com
The Magically Cool Liquid Powder originally came out with the Venomous Villains collection, and I didn't hear great things about it, and I'm not all that interested in it.

The product I am most excited about are the Big Bounce shadows in the Flighty collection! These are mousse cream shadows that are supposed to have a pearly finish. The fluffy eye shadows will be added to MAC's permanent linen (I am now hearing that isn't going to happen). As of now I have no idea what the claims are for these mousse shadows... Will they be water-proof? Long-wearing?? I can't wait to find out!
I love this pink color =) It's just a classic, Barbie PiNK!
Sally Hansen "Twisted Pink" Xtreme Wear Nail Color...The more I wear these Sally Hansen polishes, the more I love them! They have such pretty colors, they wear amazingly well on me, and the price is so affordable! Most drugstores have this Sally Hansen line for around $2.49... Perfect!
Update: So far so good with mynail polish ban! I still have one polish to show you guys.. I purchased it before theBAN but it just arrived the other day in the mail!
Once again, more of my Illamasqua obsession as well as a MUFE Aqua Cream. Let's just dive in!!
Illamasqua Cream Blusher in "Lies" ($24 at Sephora)
Cream Blusher in "Lies"... This is a product often used by Tanya Burr in makeup tutorials on her youtube channel, pixi2woo. I have found her recommendations to be quite good, so I wanted to give it a try!
I like the consistency and formulation of this cream blusher. When swatching it, it feels quite slick. In comparison to a MAC creme blush (which feels thicker and more tacky) the Illamasqua cream blusher is very easy to apply to the face and blend out. However, I'm not sure if this has an effect on the lasting-power!
The color of "Lies" when swatched is much lighter than it looks in the pan. It has a very high sheen on the silvery side, so I wouldn't recommend it if you have very oily skin. It acts more as a highlighting blush. I think the color is a bit too pink to use on the cheek bones up to the temple, but it is gorgeous when blended away from the apple of your cheek! With this you really don't need a highlighter. *I have noticed that "Lies" is no longer available on the Sephora website, so you may have to go directly to the Illamasqua site if you want to purchase it.
left to right: MUFE Aqua Cream in #14, Illamasqua Pure Pigment in "Furore", Illamasqua Cream Blusher in "Lies"
Illamasqua Pure Pigment in "Furore"...This pigment was a bit of an impluse purchase.. I initially thought I was going to get "Ore" pigment, which I've heard great things about, but at the last minute decided to get a lighter more summery shade. On the website this pigment is described as a peach champagne shimmer. Obviously photos of the colors online are never quite accurate, but because of how pink the photo looked I was expecting much more peach in the pigment.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #14...Wayne Goss does a lot of reviews over MUFE products on his youtube channel gossmakeupartist.. I'm sort of obsessed with his videos!! With summer coming up I thought it was the perfect time to purchase an Aqua Cream and see how it stands up to the heat, literally! I can't wait to use this as a base for my dark shadows, and alone for a wash of color. #14 is a gorgeous dark brown with a very red undertone. LOVE IT!

I hope you aren't getting sick of seeing my nailpolish hauls =) Sally's had a "buy 2 get 1 free" and I'm a sucker for sales, so of course I had to pick some out! Clearly I have an obsession with neon nail lacquers!
left to right: China Glaze in "Sun Worshiper", Orly in "Orange Punch", Orly in "Passion Fruit"
Eeek!! I'm so excited to wear these polishes!
I am now on a neon nail polish ban.. shall we say fooooor 2 months?? Do you think I can do it?!
I must say I love pretty little things, rings being one of them! These are some of the pieces I have been lusting over as of late =)
Alexander McQueen Skull Cocktail Ring ($280 at Saks Fifth Avenue)... This is a ring you either love or hate. I happen to love it and think it's amazing!!
YSL Arty Ovale Ring($250) ... This has been on my wishlist for ages! Although I love the coral color, I know in black I would wear this ring ALL the time. I can't decide whether my next splurge will be this ring or a new summer purse! Hmm.......
House of Harlow 1960 Five Stacked Jagged Rings($100 at revolve.com) ... What would a jewelry wishlist be without HOH?! I love that these rings are stackable, and can be worn alone or together. The mixed metals make it so versatile!
House of Harlow 1960 Resin Hexagon Ring($55 at revolve.com) ... I have yet to find this ring available in my size. Many HOH pieces are backordered or sold out at nearly every website I go to! The search continues!
Well, that's just a peek into what I have been ogling lately =)
So, as most of you know from previous posts I have recently gotten into Illamasqua. I finally ordered a few things to sample the products they have to offer.
First up, lipglosses! Illamasqua has two different formulas, sheer lipgloss and intense lipgloss. I decided to get one of each to test them out!
left to right: Intense lipgloss in "Follow", Sheer lipgloss in "Divine"
First let me just say I love the packaging! I would much rather use a squeeze-tube like this than to use a brush or other applicator that goes from your lips back into the product, contaminating it. Of course germs and bacteria are going to get into the gloss if you are using it directly from the tube/brush to your lips, but I just feel like a squeeze-tube is more sanitary!
left to right: Sheer lipgloss in "Divine", Intense lipgloss in "Follow"
Sheer lipgloss in "Divine"... This is a bit of a thicker gloss. It's not super creamy but not super sticky either. I really like the color this gives my lips.. it is sheer but definitely has some pigmentation going on. I have worn this quite a few times, and I would say I get about 3 hours of wear out of it. (One day I mixed this gloss with Follow and I loved it!)
Intense lipgloss in "Follow"... This lipgloss is freaking amazing =) I am SUPER impressed and have already ordered another shade, that's how much I love this it! This is also a bit of a thicker gloss. It feels like a lipgloss but the pigmentation is like an opaque lipstick. This can also be sheered out if you just pat it onto the lips. Again, I get about 3 hours of wear out of this gloss.
The intense lipgloss is amazing all by itself, and the sheer gloss looks great alone or over a lipstick. However, if you are someone who likes a gloss that is really creamy and slippery, these may not be the glosses for you.
I highly recommend these!! Both formulations get an A in my book =)
Have you tried Illamasqua lipglosses? Do you like the sheer gloss, or the intense??
So I was just on Nordstrom's website browsing around, and guess what I discovered...
Ok you know how when you are searching for something you can narrow down the results? For example: shoes, women's shoes, sandals, heel height, etc..... Well there is now an option for ULTRA HIGH (4" +)!!!!!!!!!! Now if that isn't something after my own heart I don't know what is! =)
Just thought I would share this random tid-bit that I found. It got me excited!
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color was on sale 2 for $4 at Walgreens the other day.. and I happened to spy some amazing bright colors!!
Left to Right: #04 "Blue Me Away", #150 "Sun Kissed", #240 "Twisted Pink", #20 "Crushed"
You will recognize "Blue Me Away" from my last NOTD. As always the colors aren't all showing up as vibrant as they really are.. hopefully in upcoming NOTDs you will be able to see the true shade better!
Have you tried Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polishes?? Share below!
I can't even explain to you how much I love this color. It's so bright and summery! At work the other day an older gentleman gave me a big smile and asked if I did that to my nails on purpose.. It made me think of my dad and how he used to laugh and shake his head when I walked out of the house with some crazy get-up on =)
Anyway here's a picture!
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear #04 "Blue me Away"
Excuse the worn off polish on my index finger.. I had this on for a few days before it was finally sunny outside and I could get a decent picture in natural light!
So, would you wear bright blue? What color are you wearing today?? Comment below!
So I was going to post a drugstore haul today, but then I got my new Chanel lippies in the mail and I couldn't wait to share them with you!!!
left: "Evasion", right: "Romance"
"Evasion" #48... This is a beautiful sheer nude color with a peachy undertone. Sort of a "my lips but better" shade, as it is very subtle.
"Romance" #55... This is my favorite of the two!! If you like pink lippies then you HAVE to get this. I'm telling you, you NEED it! It is so easy to wear. I tried taking a picture of this on my lips but as I have said before, I'm not a great photographer, and I couldn't get the color to show up correctly! "Romance" is definitely a fuschia pink, but not shocking at all. You can wear this shade very sheerly or build it up for more color.
left: "Evasion", right: "Romance"
These lippies are SO creamy and feel like a gloss on your lips. Both shades also have little specks of shimmer in them, but are not really visible in the swatch or when applied to the lips.
left: "Romance", right: "Evasion"
I have not had a good chance to test out how long these wear under different circumstances.. My first impression is that the shine doesn't last too long, but they leave behind some color that fades off very naturally.
I know these are a bit pricey at $32 a pop.. but I am really in love with these and want to try out some more shades as soon as I get a chance!
So what do you think? Have you tried the Chanel Rouge Coco Shines?? Let me know below!
With every new MAC collection there is a new pink lippie. And of course I had to get it, and a few other things! Check it out...
MAC Lip Pencil in "In Synch"... This is a nice pink liner with a yellow base. I tried and tried getting a decent picture of this pencil swatched but I just could not get the color to show up correctly! If you wear lots of lighter pink lippies then you could get a lot of use out of this lip pencil.
Lip Mix in "Crimson"... MAC Lip Mixes are similar to the OCC Lip Tars, they are VERY pigmented and a little goes a long way! The staying power is great on these. I do really love this product and totally recommend it if you like the Lip Tars.
left: MAC "Impassioned", right: MAC "Candy Yum Yum"
MAC Lipstick in "Impassioned"... I have been wanting this lippie for the longest time! My MAC store never had it in stock, so I finally ordered it online =) "Impassioned" is an Amplified Creme, one of my favorite formulations! It is described as an amped-up fuschia but next to "Candy Yum Yum" you can definitely see that there is a bit of a coral/yellow undertone to it. SUCH a pretty summer color!
"Candy Yum Yum"... This matte neon pink lipstick came out with the Quite Cute collection that MAC just launched. Although it has a matte formulation, it feels surprisingly creamy on the lips. I'm planning on doing a LOTD with this lippie paired with something else to make it a bit more wearable for those of you who aren't into seriously neon lips.
I know you have all probably seen a million swatches of this already (along with Impassioned) but here is another!
left: MAC "Candy Yum Yum", right: MAC "Impassioned"
I thought my obsession with lipstick would just be a phase... but now I'm starting to think it's here to stay... and I love it =)
Jessie J - Her new cd comes out April 12th and I'm soooo excited!! If you don't know who she is check her out on youtube.com, Jessica Cornish =)
House of Harlow 1960 - I'm lusting over pretty much every piece of jewelery in this collection... no joke!
House of Harlow Resin Hexagon Ring $55 @ revolveclothing.com
Illamasqua - You guys already know I'm LOVING this brand. Haul soon to come!!
LV Damier Azur Canvas Speedy 30 - Ok, I know this isn't a new bag, and about a million people have it.. but I just love it! I can't help myself!
Free People - I don't have anything from this brand, but I like lots of the clothes I see online.. I need to find a store near me that sells Free People!
OUT:
Not doing my hair. Because of work I always tie it up, and of course it get kinks (and I'm lazy) so I just never wear it down anymore. It's getting old!!
I came across an amazing sales on Michael Kors watches (among other things) and wanted to share it with you!! Last Call by Neimen Marcus is having a huge sale on select Michael Kors watches, and there is free shipping with the code LCAPRFS. So if you are a fan of them like I am, check it out at http://www.lastcall.com Sale ends 4/7, so today is the last day!
Michael Kors watch: Orig $180, on sale for $84.50
I have been looking for an all black watch for a while now, and just purchased this one for just $90.31 including tax!! Definitely a steal.
This week I wanted to wear a polish with a bit more sparkle and color. "Let Me Entertain You" by OPI came out with the Burlesque collection a little while back. Now, I'm a huge huge fan of Christina Aguilera, so of course I had to purchase almost all the polishes from this collection =)
For some reason it is coming off much more red in these pictures than it is in real-life. It is very much a dark fuschia/pink, with a little bit of a raspberry color mixed in.. and SUPER sparkly!!!
What is on your nails today??
P.S. I have been trying to come up with a better way to store my nail polishes.. right now I keep them in shoe boxes! Any ideas? I want to be able to see what I have without taking up too much room storing them......
Ok, so I am SUPER impressed with the new Illamasqua blush I recently picked up. I have literally been wearing it every single day! The pigmentation is crazy amazing. Believe it or not, "Chased" blush is my first and only Illamasqua product I have ever tried! I have started a list of other things I want to try, and I need your recommendations too!
What are your favorite must-have Illamasqua products?? Do you love a certain lipgloss... pigment... nail polish?? What have you tried out from Illamasqua?
There is nothing like a good red lippie! A red lip can change the look of an outfit...... it can change your attitude...... basically... it can change your life =) ok ok I kid! Here are a few of my reds!
Left to Right: Revlon"Fire and Ice",wet & wild519A, MAC"Ruby Woo",MAC "Heartless"
Lip Liners top to bottom: Prestige"Tomango",Estee Lauder"07 Red"
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick 720 "Fire & Ice"... This lipstick is a creme formulation and feels sooo good on your lips. I love this lipstick when I was something extra bright! Fire & Ice definitely has an orange undertone.. it just screams fire engine red!!
wet 'n wild in 519A... I don't even remember when I purchased this lipstick.. a long time ago! This lipstick is on the more sheer side, but can be built up quite a lot! It is very blue-based. If you are looking for an inexpensive red that can be sheered out, this is a good one!
Left to Right:Revlon "Fire & Ice",wet & wild519A, MAC"Ruby Woo",MAC"Heartless" Lip Liners top to bottom: Prestige"Tomango", bottom Estee Lauder"07 Red"
MAC "Ruby Woo"... This is a must have for everyone's makeup collection! Ruby Woo is the perfect true red with a matte finish. However, because it is a matte lipstick it can be rather drying, so make sure to exfoliate and moisturize your lips well before using!
MAC "Heartless"... I saved the best for last!! Unfortunately, "Heartless" was limited edition (it came out with MAC's Venomous Villains collection) so I don't know where you could find it now : ( Buuuut I had to mention it because it's my fav! Heartless is an Amplified lippie so it's super pigmented and creamy. The shade is a bit deeper than Ruby Woo.. more of a blood red I would say. This one will stain your lips a bit, but nothing too crazy. If you ever run across this lippie I suggest you snatch it up!
PRESTIGE Lipliner in "Tomango"... This is a great shade that can be used with reds, corals or orangey colors. It is rather easy to apply without being super creamy. Prestige is available at many different drugstores (I believe I got this one at Walgreens) and is rather inexpensive. I wouldn't recommend this if you were looking for a liner to last all day through eating and drinking, but if you just need something to sharpen up your lip line it's perfect!
Estee Lauder DoubleWear Stay-in-Place Lip Pencil in "07 Red"... I featured this lip liner in a previous haul and I must say, I have fallen in love! I don't know about you, but when I wear a super bright bold lip I am always a bit paranoid about it wearing off or getting smudged, and me having no idea! Nobody wants to walk around looking like a hot-mess :) This lip liner is seriously amazing. It is by far the longest wearing lip liner I have come across, and well worth the money in my opinion. A+ !!
Hi my name is Bethany, and I'm an addict. It's becoming a problem......well...... maybe just a problem for my wallet =)
I just received a little package in the mail from Sephora. Here's what I picked up!
My "local" Sephora is about 2 hours away, so I order from their online store quite a lot. On orders of $50+ you get free shipping so of course I had to make my purchase over $50! But the main reason I wanted to place an order was for.....
MUFE Aqua Lip in 16C... This is such a bright vivid fuschia pink color! I have a few of the MUFE Aqua Eye Liner pencils and like them a lot, so I decided to try a Aqua Lip pencil to see how long the wear is. I find that my Estee Lauder Dbl Wear Lip Pencil lasts for quite a bit longer. But MUFE has such a great color range that I will definitely be purchasing more colors! =)
Illamasqua Powder Blusher in "Chased"... It is described as a "lilac pink". I don't really find that I see much lilac in the coloring. In the swatch below thelilac stands out more, but in person both of the swatches (the lip liner as well as the blush) are quite a bit brighter and more pink. This blush is SO pigmented! I really think it would suit most skin tones, cool or warm, light to dark. I really think this shade would be amazing on dark skin tones! However, I haven't actually tried it on dark skin, but I recommend to go try it!
Left to right: MUFE Aqua Lip in 16C, Illamasqua Powder Blusher in "Chased" swatched then blended out
I also purchased a mitt to apply my St. Tropez Self-Tanner, and the St. Tropez Tan Remover. I have yet to try either of these.
Have you used any of these products? I'm especially interested to hear if you have tried the St. Tropez Tan Remover!
